Eula is a character from genshin; by far my favourite, even being the one that got me to download the game in the first place. Initially, she caught my attention due to her design alone, but the more I've learnt about her the more I've felt more attached to her and the meaning behind Eula's character.She is representative of what it's like to be misunderstood, and to push forward anyway. Even after cutting ties with her family and their reputation, she faces backlash and keeps her brave face on - she can come across as blunt and cold, but Eula is truly a good person, always making efforts to do the right thing. She is always pushing do defend herself and the people around her as fiercely as she can.Arguably, she is such a prime target for backlash because she is a woman. She is spoken ill of more frequently than others in her family because she is independent and resilient; Eula is a representation of misogyny and feminism.

Himiko Toga is a character that represents the result of stiff, age-old social norms. From the moment she developed her quirk, Toga had been told to conceal herself and water herself down so as to be considered 'normal'. The truth is, nothing about her should have been objectively weird to begin with. She was a curious child, driven by the effects of her quirk; it only would have taken a bit of guidance and support from earlier in her life for her to be a functioning member of society.She may be a villain to the public eye, but society is the real villain. She was outcasted and betrayed by the same people she is told to look up to.

Natsuo Todoroki is a member of the Todoroki family in mha, and as a result, an indirect victim of domestic abuse. He is pretty much the only one who fiercely refuses to forgive his father for his misdeeds, deeming his actions as unforgivable and stating 'it will be a cold day in hell' before he ever forgave Endeavour.While I love each member of the Todoroki family deeply, Natsuo is the one that stands out to me the most. He is stubborn, spiteful, and misunderstood. Despite the minor backlash he recieves for causing tension in the family, I will always love Natsuo and relate to the way he handles his trauma. The Todoroki characters are all beautifully written, with each of them having a different response to their childhood - Natsuo's response being anger and refusal to forgive and forget.

Jo March is arguably one of the best written characters of all time; she is a strong representation of feminism and independence. She is happy simply with the life she has and never considered the idea of a husband to feel content.Her entire life, she has known she would live a life of solitude: it was always her own choice and not any form of sad loneliness. Jo March is independent, unafraid to take up space, head-strong, and creative. She is confident in herself and never wavers. Even when her best friend - Laurie - confessed his long time feelings with her, she refused him. Jo claimed they would never be happy together due to their differences and general lifestyles.When Jo doubles back and considers that she should have just married Laurie, it is not because she loves him, but because everybody else around her is moving on from childhood and she slowly feels more and more alone. In her monologue to her mother, she never explicitly says that she truly loves him, but that she 'cares more to be loved'.
